Principal Electrical Engineer – Cambridge, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid working arrangement of up to 3 days per week onsite)
About the Opportunity
Westinghouse Electric Canada is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada. The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions.
What will you do?
Your day to day:
Providing engineering design and/or analysis for nuclear products/projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring; Interfacing with other internal functional groups on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments; Planning and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements. Ability to quickly learn to evaluate, select and utilize standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications. Skills utilizing Software Packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice or equivalent and ability to learn other new packages quickly. Knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and AccessWhat will you bring?
Who you are:
Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Required Licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario 5 years minimum of relevant experience, 10 to 12 years experience preferred. Nuclear experience is preferred.What will you get?
