Here's what you would do

  • Play nice with others.
  • Take safety seriously while using the powered equipment.
  • Play in the dirt removing weeds, cultivate, plant, mulch and maintain gardens.
  • Pick up and remove litter/debris from a property because it makes the site look good.
  • Sweep and wash parking lots/sidewalks, again, because it makes the site look good.
  • Take care of the equipment and tools you play with.
  • Read a site map and put snow where it's supposed to go.
  • Use a handshovel to move snow from walkways, doorways, fire equipment etc.
  • Fill out site reports of what you did, what time you did it and what the weather was like when you did it. You can do this on your phone (there's an app for that) and, sometimes, you have to go old school and do these with a pen and paper.

  • You know how to keep a jobsite clean and safe. (You can't work when it's a mess)
  • You like to show off what you've done. (You take pride in your work)
  • Your super powers include meeting a challenge head on and solving the problem.
  • You can use your smartphone to submit reports.
  • You can legally drive in Ontario (valid G drivers' license). You are interested in upgrading your license because that means you could drive bigger machines.
Did we mention this position is outside? So, your total weekly hours will depend on the weather.
