Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a database of all of company's packaging weights and dimensions and upload onto ERP system.
  • Maintain and update production reference sheets.
  • Create and maintain a database of shipping pallet TiHis and Dimensions.
  • Perform time studies for new products.
  • Review daily mixing weights in kilograms, convert to ideal yield and compare to depositing record to determine waste percentage during production and report the results to Upper Management.
  • Review daily packaging record and compare to daily depositing record to determine waste percentage during packaging and report the results.
  • Keep a record of over weight and under weight products and review with Management to determine whether more weight checks need to be performed or depositing weights need to be adjusted.
  • Perform periodic time studies as requested by Management and calculate labour costs for each step to determine inefficiencies in each area and report the results to Director of Operations.
  • Monitor daily production plan created by Production Planner and compare to completed production to determine production performance.
  • Keep a log of machine downtime and root cause and create monthly report of machine performance.
  • Observe and identify inefficiencies and eliminate nonvalue add activities.
  • Keep track of packaging and film waste and report to Maintenance so they can identify root cause and reduce waste.
  • Maintain a log of fleet maintenance and repairs cost.
  • Ensure warehouse associates provide a weekly inventory count of ingredients and packaging, review the counts and ensure Purchasing department is aware of critical items to be purchased.
  • Perform frequent walkthroughs of the Production Floor to ensure all machines are being utilized and inefficient procedures are not taking place, and to identify deviations and correct on the spot.
  • Make recommendations on production staffing needs.
  • Source and order supplies, tools and utensils for production.
  • Perform daily fleet inspection at the end of the day.
  • Pick up parts and supplies locally during emergencies.
  • Coordinate fleet repairs.
  • Assist with the Annual Year End Inventory count.
  • Assist with Annual Audit preparation.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or industrial design or relevant engineering degree.
  • Must be fluent in written and verbal English.
  • Must possess great communication skills and able to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Must be able to work with multiple departments within the organization.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure with competing priorities.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • G Driving License
