The Transportation Supervisor role involves overseeing the day-to-day train operations and managing unionized train crews to ensure safe and efficient service delivery within a territory or terminal. This position requires a commitment to safety, compliance with regulations, and efficiency in operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safety Orientation, Understanding, Compliance and Enforcement
  • Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Planning and Organizing Workload
  • General Leadership and Supervisions of both Union Workforce
  • Performance Management, Training and Onboarding

Working Conditions: The job involves irregular hours, working in varying weather conditions, and travel for company business without advance notice.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Industrial work experience with progression in a safety-compliant environment
  • Experience working with heavy machinery
  • 4 years of supervisory experience
  • 3 years of experience as a conductor on a railroad

Education/Certification/Designation:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Certified Conductor or Locomotive Engineer
  • Degree in Business or Logistics
