We are seeking a Maintainer, Welder to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance and Infrastructure team. The role involves conducting planned and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment in various fixed plant settings onsite, ensuring equipment availability is optimized in a safe, eco-friendly, and cost-effective manner.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Fixed Plant, and stationed at Lac de Gras, you will work on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation at the Diavik mine site. Responsibilities include:

• Timely installation of new or overhauled equipment per manufacturer's guidelines.
• Fabrication, overhaul, or modification of equipment parts.
• Ensuring cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment continuously.
• Executing preventative maintenance activities to achieve over 90% equipment availability.
• Repairing equipment within specified timeframes.
• Conducting equipment inspections and troubleshooting.
• Providing detailed reports on maintenance activities.
• Assisting in the development of Apprentices.
• Operating mobile equipment as needed.
• Promoting a culture of safety.

• Interprovincial red seal journeyman Welder certification.
• Experience in carbon arc gouging/cutting.
• Experience with overhead cranes and rigging.
• At least 3 years of Welder experience in mineral processing.
• Skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Prior experience in Northern regions and cross-cultural environments is advantageous. Priority will be given to applicants from specific groups and regions.
