Banquet Cashier

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes all payments in accordance with the hotel's accounting policies and procedures. Follows the hotel's control audit standards and cash handling procedures.
- Ensures accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level and keeping monies secure at all times.
- Balances the sales according to hotel policies and procedures, ensuring that all monies received balance the number of tickets sold.
- Completes any designated cashier reports, including a summary sales report.
- Informs management at the close of shift if any discrepancy occurs in the float.
- Attends all staff meetings
- Consistently offers friendly, professional and exceptional guest service.
- Follows all health, safety and sanitation policies as outlined by management.
- Performs all other duties assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage, Assistant Banquet Manager, and Food and Beverage Outlets/ Banquets Supervisor.
Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous cash handling experience is required
- Must possess a passion for customer service and the ability to exceed customer expectations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meeting strict deadlines.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively as a part of a team.
- Appearance must be neat, clean and well groomed as per Hilton standards.
- Must have a good command of the English language.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
