About This Role


We are looking for someone to manage a team of Technology Controls / Information Security experts as they develop and manage strategies, programs, tools, frameworks and policies as well as provide specialized oversight, control and governance activities for a key business segment or transformational strategic initiative.

Both your influence and exposure to executives and various groups enterprise-wide will allow you to expand your efforts to minimize overall technology risks to TD.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Guide partners on a broad range of technology throughout incidents.
  • Lead Cybersecurity Incidents and Cybersecurity Events.
  • Lead or contribute to containment and recovery plans for Cybersecurity Incidents.
  • Contribute to the definition, development, and oversight of a global security management strategy and framework.
  • Ensure technology, processes, and governance are in place to monitor, detect, prevent, and react to both current and emerging technology and security threats against TDBG's business.
  • Develop ongoing operational enhancements for Cybersecurity including alerting, monitoring, and detection across multiple security domains.
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures, technology control standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Adhere to, advise, oversee, monitor and enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to technology controls / information security activities.
  • Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture throughout the enterprise.
  • Lead relationships with other areas of Technology / businesses / corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management and overall team leadership for team members and provide regular input into team members assessment of performance and development plans
Job Requirements

It helps if you have:

  • University Degree.
  • Information Security Certification / Accreditation an asset.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert knowledge of IT security and Incident Management practices across multiple domains.
  • Expert knowledge of Incident Management and Cybersecurity protection tooling and technologies (ex. SIEM, EDR, XDR, Firewall, WAF)
  • Advanced knowledge of organization, technology controls, security and risk issues.
  • Strong leadership and people building within IT and Cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in complex, comprehensive or large projects and initiatives.
  • Ability to serve as a lead expert resource in technology controls and information security for project teams, the business, organization and outside vendors.
  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

Qualifications

Here are the preferred qualifications for this role:

  • Experience as an Incident Manager working on complex information security and cybercrime-related incidents, requiring coordination with internal and external enterprise teams, as well as third parties, vendors, partners, etc.
  • Experience briefing executives related to cybercrime and information security incident triage, incident containment, and incident recovery.
  • Experience authoring complex communications related to cybercrime and information security incident triage, incident containment, and incident recovery.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining playbooks and other process/governance documentation.
