About the Role:

Our Trust Accounting Team has an exciting career opportunity for you. Reporting to the Manager, Trust Accounting, you will reconcile bank accounts, identify breaks, analyze outstanding balances, research and resolve issues.

Your Responsibilities:

Maintain and analyze general ledger accountsPerform daily reconciliation of bank accountsCommunicate with various banks to resolve outstanding reconciliation itemsPerform various duties such as preparation of cap stock reports, manual cheques, process online payments, stop payments, dealer commission reconciliation, etc.Communicate with fund managers, fund accounting and custodians for daily activities and problem resolutionValidate the accuracy of monthly/quarterly reports generated for trailing commissionAssist the department in completing various special projectsPerform various user acceptance testingProvide supervisors and managers with necessary and timely management informationResponsible for the timely and accurate completion of all departmentdeliverablesBack-up other team members within the teamLiaise with internal and external customers to resolve issues and concernsEnsure timely escalation of items that require management attentionAssist management in completion of special projects

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experiencePrior work experience in Accounting is preferredStrong knowledge in bank reconciliationStrong knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent customer service and communication skillsPlanning and organization skillsStrong analytical skillsTeamwork and interpersonal skillsEthical standards/Acts with IntegrityIndustry and product knowledgeInnovationAble to work under pressureManaging riskHigh attention to detailAdaptable and flexible to change
