Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties.

We are currently looking for a customer
- and team-oriented full-time Delivery Supervisor to join our Yurek Specialties team in London, Ontario.

Job Summary:
The Delivery Supervisor helps to manage the success of our operation in a high-volume home delivery environment.

Due to the unique challenges of the industry, it is essential that applicants possess the skills necessary for success in performance-based environments that focus on client service, urgency, and continuous improvement.

The Delivery Supervisor reports directly to the Transportation and Logistics Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Your primary responsibility to coordinate and oversee the Delivery functions and contractual obligations of Yurek Specialties.
  • The deployment of resources to the centralized logistics strategy for all Yurek locations.
  • You have the responsibility to coordinate with our internal and contract delivery providers to ensure the required quality, customer experience, and timeliness is met.
  • The Delivery Supervisor will have responsibility for both the scheduling/routing and delivery process to ensure the optimal use of resources.
  • You provide employee communication, training, and be a champion of excellence for our team.
  • Works with the Transportation and Logistics Manager to successfully execute the goals in the department, identifying opportunities for improvement and assisting in team development.
  • This role will also ensure the effectiveness of employees through hiring, assignment of duties, and coaching. The Delivery Supervisor will spend approximately 70%80% of their time performing supervisory duties.
  • Supervises the activities, procedures, and standards of performance for all Delivery Coordinators and drivers to ensuring the adherence to established SOPs, Company, safety, and regulatory policy.
  • Accountable for an efficient, clean, and safe delivery operation
  • Identify and implement synergies and improvements across all Yurek delivery departments.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a transportation setting
  • 5+ years' work experience in transportation operations
  • High school diploma with several years of relevant work experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • Intermediate and advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience using route planning software and MRP programs.
  • Experience with vendor management preferred.
  • Must have strong communication, conflict management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, organization, and execution skills.
