Student Service Representative, Service Innovation:

Required Position:

Full-Time Term Appointment :
one (1) year contract

THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED AS ONE THAT MAY REQUIRE A DIFFERENT WORK WEEK AND/OR HOURS OF WORK.
The current Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (summer hours), or Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (winter hours). Upon four weeks' notice, the work week and/or hours of work may be changed. (This may include evening and/or weekend shifts.)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service;
  • Know, understand and provide information on university services, procedures, policies, activities, events and academic programs; including those from other academic and administrative units;
  • Support the creation and maintenance of online resources, tools and platforms;
  • Access, edit, understand and use information and tools in various digital systems including, but not limited to, the Student Information System and Student Relationship Management System;
  • Work independently to resolve incoming requests, inquiries and issues, and to provide services;
  • Maintain confidentiality;
  • Actively seek out and participate in relevant training and learning to continuously improve on skills and knowledge;
  • Balance a daily batch and cash float according to set guidelines and procedures;
  • Process payments (including payments with cash, credit card, debit card, cheque, etc.);
  • Train Student Assistants to ensure consistency in practice and service;
  • Perform other duties directly related to this position as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or threeyear college diploma;
  • One to three years of related experience;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using database software;
  • Excellent, practiced and proven communication skills;
  • Excellent, practiced and proven professionalism;
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills;
  • Possess a friendly, cheerful and pleasant disposition;
  • An exceptional team worker and pleasant colleague;
  • Ability to quickly learn, maintain, use and understand large amounts of information;
  • Proven problemsolving skills and resourcefulness;
  • Be a selfstarter;
  • Proven multitasking and time management skills;
  • Proven and demonstrated commitment for the customer experience;
  • Proven and demonstrated commitment for assisting students;
  • Demonstrated and practiced exceptional service delivery skills;
  • Strong ability to stay focused in a high pace work environment;
  • Experience accepting money transactions;
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work on evenings and weekends;
  • Experience delivering services related to OSAP and other university administrative services;
  • Experience with a CRM system is an asset;
  • Ability to work fluently, oral and written, in both official languages (French/English).
