Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and policies throughout Skyline that supports carbon reduction and offsetting, environmental stewardship, clean energy production and waste diversion.

  • You love teach people about carbon management, the energy sector, renewable energy, and energy efficiencies.
  • Postsecondary education in Environmental, Sustainability, Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

What you will be doing:

  • Create, implement, and manage Skyline's carbon strategy by developing programs and projects to reduce the company's energy use, improve biodiversity, divert waste, and produce clean energy. The carbon strategy encompasses all aspects of Skyline's business.
  • Monitor the carbon reduction strategy and targets and report on the company's progress.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support the carbon reduction strategy. Assist in ongoing enforcement of the policies and perform regular updates.
  • Act as Skyline's lead specialist and technical advisor in GHG inventory, energy efficiency, waste diversion and carbon reduction matters, including but not limited to carbon offset reporting and verification projects within the Skyline Group of Companies.
  • Assist in maintaining Skyline's Environmental Management System and use the system to assess Skyline's portfolio for outliers in building performance and make informed decisions
