Reporting to the Director - Quality, Care and Transformation, the CapitalCare Manager, Quality Care and Policy, will support and embrace our resident-centred culture and provide strategic planning and problem-solving support to the organization; working "hands-on" at our centres with our teams.

The Manager, Quality Care and Policy, works as a key member of our practice and innovation team to lead, empower and support our organization's team members to deliver resident-centred care focusing on flexible living and quality of life for our residents and patients.


JOB DESCRIPTION IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW

1. Education
a. A Bachelor's level in nursing or health related discipline from an accredited university. Master's level preferred.
b. Preference will be given to applicants with coursework and/or experience in gerontology.
c. Adult education training certificate or diploma would be considered an asset.
d. Registration in an appropriate professional association is required.

2. Experience
a.

A minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience is required, preferably complemented by leadership experience in continuing care.

b. Experience in the design and management of projects and effective dissemination of results, including recommendations derived from the results.
c. Knowledge, skill, and experience in dementia care and chronic disease management is preferred.
d. Experience with organizational change management, project management, and agile would be considered an asset.
e. Experience working within a person centred care philosophy.
f. An equivalent combination of skills and abilities will be considered.

3. Related Knowledge
a. A sound understanding of adult learning and development principles and practices.
b. Knowledge of using IT and social media platforms to support strategic practice.
c. Competency is required with software programs including ZOOM, Skype, MyLearningLink.
