Developing wireless power technology isn't your everyday office job
As a close team of almost fifty people, everyone at Solace Power Inc. contributes to pushing the limits and redefining the way we think about wireless power. We are currently looking for a new team member who can help us research, develop and test technology that truly doesn't exist anywhere else
From transferring power through windows and walls to delivering on the complex wireless power requirements in aerospace and defense – whether you work in procurement, engineering, or sales – no two days are ever the same
We are seeking an experienced PCB Designer to join our innovative engineering team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and development of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for our cutting-edge wireless power products.

Beyond PCB layout design, this position encompasses the management of our component library, including the creation of component footprints, as well as the management of Bill of Materials (BOM) for rapid prototyping projects.

PCB Layout Design:
Create detailed layouts for PCBs, including component placement and routing, using CAD software. Ensure designs meet all electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements.

  • Design Optimization: Collaborate with electrical engineers and other team members to optimize PCB designs for manufacturability, cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for PCB designs, including layout drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs. Maintain accurate records and version control.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure smooth transition from design to production.
  • Must-Have Requirements (like coffee in the morning):
  • Degree or diploma in Electronics Technology, or related field.
  • Expertise in CAD software for PCB design, such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, including IPC standards, and experience generating component footprints.
  • Experience with power electronics layouts and EMC considerations considered an asset.
  • Moderate-to-great skills in ping pong and an appreciation of good beer.
