As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with Canadian indirect tax compliance and reporting

• Overseeing timely remittance of tax payments (income tax and indirect tax)

• Working with Finance teams to provide indirect tax assistance on ongoing operating initiatives and respond to other indirect tax queries

• Providing ongoing support to the Investment Tax team on any indirect tax issues or risks arising on transactions

• As time permits, assisting with Enterprise-wide non-transaction tax projects or income tax compliance (as directed by senior team members)

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Enrolled in a college or university program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or related field

• Some knowledge of Finance and/or Tax principles preferred

• Ability to deliver sound results, while handling multiple priorities with competing deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down big projects into achievable components

• Ability to build relationships and work constructively with internal colleagues and stakeholders

• Demonstrates an ownership mindset and takes accountability for his/her responsibilities

• Demonstrates sound judgment
