Duties and responsibilities:

SaskAbilities is dedicated to providing supported employment services to individuals who experience disability or employment barriers. These services are designed to aid in preparing for, securing and maintaining employment.


The Job Skills for Success Coordinator is an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead a media project new to SaskAbilities, which will deliver content to the public at a national level.


Duties include:

  • Effectively lead the development and implementation of the Job Skill for Success project, which will deliver engaging and relevant video, visual and electronic supports to individuals seeking employment.
  • Initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with internal staff and external service providers within the Film Production industry, supporting the planning and marketing of events.
  • Provide guidance to ensure written and visual content aligns with SaskAbilities Mission, Vision and Value statements, while meeting the criteria of the production industry and mandates at provincial or federal levels as it pertains to translation.
  • Responsible for scheduling and general oversight of external service providers throughout project to ensure deliverables are completed within defined timeline.
  • Manage project schedules, deliverables and required documentation including project outcome reporting.
  • Track monthly budget spending and develop spending plans to meet the obligations outlined within the contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Post-Secondary education in Communication, Business Administration or Marketing and three years related experience.
  • Project Management or Change Management is an asset
  • Knowledge of the film industry will be an asset
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and with a team to deliver results, often under tight timelines
  • Knowledge and understanding of inclusive hiring practices pertaining to individuals experiencing disabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, timemanagement and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with multiple mixed media platforms, editing and uploading content
