JOB DEFINITION:


As a Business Systems Analyst, you are expected to be an advanced professional in the systems & process design and implementation space and have experience on low, medium and high software implementation projects.

The Business Systems Analyst will work with external clients to understand their financial technology needs and identify opportunities to improve the software solution.

You will solicit, understand, and document business requirements, processes and workflows developing both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows.


You will work closely with business stakeholders, both externally and internally, to ensure the integration of business and functional requirements into plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently with mínimal supervision, establish priorities, and use strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills to add value to each project,
  • Develop technical requirements through business requirement gathering techniques to understand scope, functional & nonfunctional relationships, dependencies, risks, and facilitate the communication between business and technology areas
  • Lead client requirements discussions, including but not limited to:
  • User interface design and wire framing
  • Understanding and capturing business process workflows
  • Logic and data mapping between various integration points
  • Complete a handover to development including well documented and clearly defined requirements that satisfy client business needs
  • Assume an ownership role, on behalf of the client to ensure deliverables meet business/enduser requirements
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and sharing knowledge with yourteam/peers
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading edge technologies trends/developments and develop expertise in analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery
  • Scope change requests (add, change, move requests)
  • Assist with enforcing project goals and direction in order to support the strategic business objectives
  • Ability to take ownership and lead by example
  • Travel up to 25% of the year

Business Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, negotiation, and decisionmaking skills; able to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and decompose highlevel information into requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to adjust communication style to present technical and nontechnical information to a wide variety of external and internal clients with differing levels of knowledge.
  • Solid client relationship management skills with the ability to elicit requirements through effective interviews and requirements gathering workshops, and motivate stakeholders towards a goal or to reach consensus
  • Ability to create requirements document in an environment with some ambiguity or unknowns and get them signed off
  • Strong ability to work independently and meet project timelines, and drive stakeholders to delivering within determined timelines
  • Strong ability to recognize gaps, risks and issues in a timely manner, so as to raise them and participate in discussions on how to manage them
  • Ability to identify and effectively resolve problems creatively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to produce quality documentation/reports for all stakeholders internally and externally
  • Excellent ability to present information (e.g. requirements documents, diagrams) to senior management in a manner that is clear, concise and open
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships, solicit cooperation and resolve conflicts with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent organization and time management skill

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related equivalent with excellent knowledge of BA tools andtechniques
  • 5+ years of experience in the Business Systems Analyst field
  • Working knowledge of Project Management Methodology
  • Strong MS Office and Visioskills
  • Exposure to the financial services industry
  • Experience in the software industry
  • Experience in Operations, Professional Services or Support
  • Exposure to Report
