Air Canada is currently in search of dynamic individuals to fill permanent full-time positions as Aircraft Technicians or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at our Montreal Maintenance Centre. The position is near the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, Montreal. The starting salary is $26.74/hour, depending on experience and based on the Collective Agreement.

Aircraft Technicians/Aircraft Maintenance Engineers have the responsibility of airframe maintenance and should possess the following skill sets:
  • Ability to utilize the proper tools, methods, techniques, and equipment necessary for aircraft maintenance
  • Capability to read and comprehend various schematic diagrams for maintenance troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools
Individuals should be team players with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a customer-focused attitude in a demanding and high-stress environment.

QualificationsHigh School diplomaCompletion of a recognized apprenticeship program, or a minimum of 4 years of industry-related experienceTransport Canada AME M2 or M1 license (Mandatory)Valid driver's license (Mandatory)Successful completion of pre-employment qualifying exam, physical, and security checkAvailability to work night, evenings, and days, including weekends and holidaysAbility to obtain an airside vehicle operator's permit (Mandatory)Restricted radio operator's permit (aviation)Employees in this role perform safety-critical work, therefore, must meet Air Canada's medical standards to qualify. A medical evaluation, drug and alcohol test, and the ability to maintain necessary transportation security clearances are mandatory. Eligibility to work in the country of interest at the time of employment offer is required.
