Duties & Responsibilities

  • Commissioning & startup
  • Maintenance activities
  • Use pneumatic, electrical & electronic testing devices to inspect & test instrument & system operation, & diagnose faults
  • Calibrate & maintain components & instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
  • Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test & maintenance procedures
  • Repair, maintain & adjust system components or remove & replace defective parts
  • Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Tech's Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual
  • Comply with Electrical Code, safety standards, & other applicable legislation
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

  • Red Seal: Instrumentation
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, & problemsolving skills
  • Strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic, & layout)
  • High voltage terminations and/or Fiber experience is considered an asset
  • Site experience
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without supervision
  • Self motivates with a proactive attitude & ability to pitch in & do what is required
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Willingness to travel regularly to job sites
  • Proficiency in the Windows environment & Microsoft Office
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 2-6 months

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required
