Some of what you will do:


As the Inventory Control Analyst, you will perform month end closing activities such as analyses, journal entries and generation of reports.

You will play a vital role in tracking, analyzing and control of inventory data, vendor rebate program and reporting on physical inventory counts to management.


Specifically, You Will:

Internal / External Communication

  • Work closely with the business, including the stores, Merchandising and IT teams to resolve inventory related issues
  • Support and liaise with the external auditors in their execution of the audits
Reconciliation

  • Perform month end closing activities such as analyses, journal entries and generation of reports
  • Prepare account reconciliations and resolve issues and unreconciled differences
Reporting and Analysis

  • Provide weekly, monthly, and annual reports and other information to all levels of management and nonmanagement.
  • Analyze complex information to prepare and maintain inventory records, physical inventory results, and vendor collection reports for various levels of management.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory activities at store level to ensure that inventory information is accurate.
  • Identify and execute process improvements
Special Considerations

  • Respect the high level of confidentiality of information.

Some of what you need:

  • Post secondary diploma or degree with a focus on accounting/business administration.
  • CPA designation or working towards a designation
  • 13 years previous general accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Bilingual an asset.
  • Strong judgment to solve problems that may be a complex nature.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Work within a team environment.
