We are seeking a full-time senior estimator to lead and oversee the estimating and tendering team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and delivering thoroughly vetted project budget estimates from preliminary drawings through to contract award, and oversight of tendering process .

JOB DETAILS

  • Review custom supplied specifications and drawings.
  • Create detailed cost estimates based upon customers specifications .
  • Quote follow up through direct and telephone customer communication.
  • Query and research vendors and products (raw materials, intermediates and finished products) as required.
  • Responsible for maximizing the quote to order conversion ratio through accurate estimating, quoting in a timely fashion, quote follow-up and analysis, submit progress reports.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior estimator and/or senior project manager role.
  • Technical post-secondary education or degree in construction.
  • Expert level of understanding of the local construction market, current trends in trades pricing, and procurement.
  • Proven track record of building success and credibility in a position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in the English language.
  • Exceptional track record in personal time management and team-based communication.

The role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, works well under pressure in deadline-driven environments, and who is comfortable supervising/mentoring others.

Masonry Assistant

We are seeking a full-time skilled masonry assistant to join their team.

JOB DETAILS

  • Assisting with setting up scaffolds and general workplace area.
  • Mixing cement.
  • Providing stone masons with required tools and materials.
  • Grouting and jointing mortar joints using various tools and techniques.
  • Operating traditional masonry equipment and machines such as wet saws, grinders, and drills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in construction industry an asset.
  • Quick learner with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with time constraints.
  • Physically fit, able to lift over 70 lbs.
