Esri Canada: Solution Architect

  • Location: Canada-wide
  • Responsibilities:
    • Review technical quality of delivery and advise on project estimates
    • Define approaches for continuous technical improvement
    • Design major aspects of application architecture
    • Provide technical leadership to development team
    • Maintain enterprise-wide application design standards
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements
    • Support Esri Canada customers with strategic GIS deployment objectives
    • Work on system designs and technical recommendations
    • Collaborate with partners to address performance issues
    • Conduct customer workshops on system design
    • Support pre-sales and post-sales activities
  • Skills Required:
    • 7+ years with Esri technology
    • 4+ years as technical lead on GIS/IT projects
    • 2+ years with ArcGIS Enterprise
    • 2+ years in solution/application architectures
    • Experience with system architecture design strategies
    • Strong technical writing skills
    • Knowledge of Esri products and spatial data management
    • Degree in computer science, engineering, math, or GIS
  • Competencies:
    • Effective communication skills
    • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
    • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Assets:
    • Google Cloud Professional Certification
    • Experience with AWS, Azure, and web application firewall configuration
    • Experience with High Availability
