What you'll do:


To serve food and beverage to our guests in the restaurant and bar, providing a guest experience that is consistent with the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel standards.


The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications for guests at the bar and in the restaurant.
  • To be familiar with all food and beverage menus, specials and promotions in Olio & lounge in order to assist the guest in their selection and promote the items.
  • To provide service to our guests in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.
  • To enter all guest orders into Squirrel, point of sale equipment.
  • To maintain accurate guest checks, ensuring the check is properly acknowledged and signed by the guest.
  • To promote the use of all Hotel facilities and special promotions.
  • To follow and comply with Hotel cash handling policies and procedures.
  • To adhere to local liquor and health, safety and fire procedures and laws.
  • To make recommendations for improvement to either product or service in Lounge.
  • To respond to guest concerns and solicit guest feedback.
  • To participate in the daily preshift meeting.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work areas and equipment according to Hotel Standards.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass and silver prior to use.
  • Assist team members to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
  • Carry out side duties as assigned.
  • Performing opening and closing procedures including, but not limited to, the set up and break down of stations, clearing and resetting up of tables.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

  • At least one year bartending experience
  • Smart Serve Certification required
  • Bartender Certification/Bartender License required
  • Knowledge of Squirrel preferred
  • Knowledge of wines, beer and spirits an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Full time applicants
    must have weekend (Sat & Sun) availability, with the ability to work to 40 hrs/week.
