Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Develop, define, configure, integrate, and implement policy, patient safety standards and controls, health services best practices and standard processes in digital health solutions, systems, and technologies to manage and reduce administrative costs while improving patient outcomes.

Implement and support the ongoing maintenance and use of digital health technologies to securely share personal health information, support clinical workflows, and practice standards related to specific clinical functions.

• 5 years of recent practical experience working within standard clinical practices, clinical workflows and with information management systems used in one or more of the following specific clinical functions, such as:
  • Bench and laboratory diagnostic testing and related workflows.
  • Diagnostic imaging collection/production (radiologic) and related workflows.
  • Patient care including examination, assessment, administering health interventions health services team coordination and related workflows.
  • Maintaining and dispensing prescribed medication and medical devices and related pharmaceutical workflows.
  • Nutrition diagnostics and treatment interventions and related workflows.
• 5 years of experience designing and analyzing workflows and business processes.
• 3 years of experience leading technical teams in project delivery.

• Post-secondary degree in health sciences appropriate to the clinical function, combined with the completion of specialized training at the post-secondary certificate level or higher in hardware, software (system, application or data transfer), programing languages, and/or data format standards from an accredited educational institution.
• Additional formal education in health informatics specific to designing, evaluating, and implementing clinical systems, processes and tools is preferred.
• Certification(s) in project management, organizational change management and business/systems analysis are assets.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Active member in good standing of the associated discipline specific regulatory body is required.

• Demonstrated staff level leadership capabilities. The health system in Manitoba adopted the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.

• Must be able to work safely in a typical digitized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
• Interruptions to respond to questions are common; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.
• Must have a valid Manitoba driver's license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province.
