Full Job Description

Position Summary

Essential Functions

  • Pick, pack, and weigh ingredients used in production.
  • Follow instructions for the production of dry mixes.
  • Load dry ingredients into blenders & unload blended mixes while following Quality Control procedures.
  • Wash and sanitize equipment.
  • Learn and follow the safe and proper operation of the equipment.
  • Clean work areas and equipment
  • Perform required preuse inspections, setup, and cleaning procedures for all equipment.
  • Labelling, packing, bagging, weighing and boxing and palletizing finished product
  • Monitor ingredients, products and packaging for basic quality defects; report to Production Supervisor.
  • Perform all duties according to applicable quality and food safety systems/initiatives and processes including record completion (Ex. GMP, SOP, SSOP, etc.)
  • Physical Effort: frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach with hands and arms, and climb steps; must be able to lift, pull or push up to 70 pounds.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

  • Completion of secondary school

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Previous experience in food processing and packaging environment is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve.
  • Basic math skills
  • Commitment to safety and food quality standards
  • Attention to detail and contributes to positive team environment.
  • Values reliability & dependability

Salary Range
- $ $20.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Monday
  • Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional earlier start, later finish
  • 8hour shift
  • 40 hours per week
  • Potential for overtime
