Duties

Jurilinguists are highly qualified professionals who review the translation of decisions from the Courts we serve. As part of the jurilinguist team, you will review the translation of decisions or other texts and answer language questions. Responsibilities include:

• Review the translation of judgments and reasons for judgment of the chief justices and the judges of the 4 Courts
• Provide jurilinguistic and linguistic advice in both official languages
• Train the new generation of jurilinguists

Intent of the Process

A pool of pre-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created. Candidates must provide their résumé and meet essential qualifications in areas such as graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, extensive experience in legal revision or translation, bilingual proficiency, and more.
