Job Duties Responsibilities:

  • Operate a horizontal directional drill safely as per standard operating procedures
  • Execute the daily plan and work sequence
  • Perform inspections, complete equipment maintenance tasks, and check equipment daily
  • Keep equipment and vehicles clean and in safe/working order
  • Load and unload equipment in a safe manner
  • Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 12 years' experience operating 24x40 or 36x50 Vermeer drills or bigger
  • Ability to read locate maps and construction plans considered an asset
  • Valid drivers license, Class 3 with air brakes is considered an asset
  • Willing to work an outoftown schedule or overnight schedule is considered an asset
  • Experience working with underground utilities is considered an asset
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and problem solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Safetyfirst attitude
  • Provide: must have hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steeltoed safety boots/shoes

Salary:
$18.00-$28.00 per hour
