We are looking for a thoughtful and person-centered individual to join our team In this role you will be the first point of contact with our clients and responsible for ensuring that these individuals receive the most appropriate and available services.

By partnering with individuals and families, you will help determine their needs, assess safety, and match them to the best program or service for them.

This role supports all programs across the Agency, with a goal to develop seamless connection and delivery of services.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Work in a fastpaced environment where responsiveness to clients is a top priority
  • Facilitate access to timely care, utilizing extensive knowledge of the issues facing the client, and act as a bridge between clients and services offered by community agencies.
  • Work with peers to help coordinate and refer clients to appropriate support services.
  • Identify client situations requiring specialized services and arrange appropriate interventions.
  • Assesses for highrisk situations, provides brief crisis interview and interfaces with appropriate community resources when safety is a concern
  • Actively monitor and manage waitlists for Camino programs
  • Ensure all relevant forms and documents are completed in accordance with departmental requirements.
  • Supporting agency wide walkin counselling service

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • University degree or equivalent in social work, or other social science or healthrelated disciplines.
  • 3 years' experience working with community and human service agencies.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and attention to detail skills.

ARE THERE BONUS POINTS?

  • Familiarity working with children, youth and families an asset.

ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW?:

  • This is a full time, permanent role
  • This role includes evening shifts a minimum of 2 times per week, and occasional weekend coverage as required.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
  • Must be able to provide either proof of vaccination or documentation providing a satisfactory reason under the Ontario Human Rights Code for not being vaccinated.
  • Compensation: $25.77 to $36.38 per hour.
