  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current certificate of registration in good standing with a Regulated Health Professional College
  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree in a health discipline that includes health administration and leadership is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years formal clinical education experience in the past 5 years and/or certification in Adult Education with proven ability to achieve education and practice outcomes through programs delivered to individuals and groups
  • Current certification in BCLS or must be completed within 3 months of start date
  • A minimum of 5 years experience, in an acute care setting
  • Thorough understanding of regulated health professional regulatory issues and roles, interprofessional roles and work and their collective impacts on patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Demonstrated career growth and development in leadership roles with increasing accountabilities and influence on professional and interprofessional practice
  • Demonstrated proficiency with knowledge transfer, program development and implementation, project and change management, and evaluation skills relative to clinical practice and the practice of education
  • Knowledge of practice standards as outlined by the Regulated Health Professional Colleges of Ontario and the applicability to the practice setting (Controlled Acts, Delegation, etc.)
  • Committed to excellence in all elements of professional practice, including excellence in patient care processes, measuring outcomes, collaboration, and professional growth through education and research utilization
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with quality improvement strategies and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective clinical practice leadership
  • Superior conflict resolution and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and as a member of the Professional Practice team
Able to balance organizational and program goals and objectives
