About This Opportunity:


We recently announced several capital infrastructure projects that will increase our manufacturing capacity and streamline our warehouse and distribution operations to ensure we are able to grow our business and continue to make, distribute, merchandise, and sell Canada's favourite beverages for many years to come.

The Project Manager, Strategic Infrastructure Projects is responsible for the project management of major capital investment projects throughout the execution phase.

Reporting into the Director, SIP Business Integration and working closely with cross-functional departments across the organization, this role integrates people and resources to carry out the project plans for various initiatives that will help realize the strategic initiatives for the company.


Responsibilities:

  • Supports the implementation of multiple Strategic Infrastructure Plans (SIP) projects in a cohesive, consistent, and effective manner to meet project milestones.
  • Prepares formal project update decks and provides updates to the Business Transformation Office (BTO) as part of the internal governance and projects oversight process.
  • Communicates the status of SIP projects to various stakeholders and levels of leadership in the organization.
  • Integrates people and other resources to carry out the project management plan for SIP Projects during the implementation phase.
  • Measures and monitors progress and budget to identify variances from the project plan so that corrective action can be taken when necessary.
  • Determines the information and communication needs of the stakeholders, makes the needed information available, collects and distributes performance information.
  • Leads the change management process for a seamless transition of the project post the implementation phase.
  • Ensures accuracy of reporting for SIP Projects.
  • Coordinates status updates at regular intervals and brings forth variances that require a decision or input from Senior Leadership.
  • Brings projects to an orderly end, collaborating with SIP Integration on post review evaluations.
  • Indirect management and influencer of a large, diverse team of professional, technical and support staff, both directly and indirectly.
  • Establishes strong working relationships between project leadership and operational stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience with managing projects
  • Must have a PMP designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum 35 years in a management role in a relevant function (like manufacturing).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage largescale capital projects.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Experience in business planning, and strategy and good understanding of engineering.
  • Professional project management designation is an asset.
  • Continuous improvement background an asset.
