Litigation Law Clerk

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Prepare and manage correspondence with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
- Assist with trial preparation, including drafting witness lists and exhibits
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case information
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a law clerk or in a similar legal support role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis or Westlaw
- Proficiency in using document management systems like iManage or similar software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience conducting interviews with clients or witnesses is a plus
- Strong clerical skills, including filing and record keeping
Salary:
From $40,000.00 per year
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:
- North York, ON M3C 3N6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
