About The Role
Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs.
We are looking for a Survey Technician supporting underground development reporting to the Superintendent, Integrated Mine Planning, located at Lac de Gras Mine Site. You will work 12 hours per shift on 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotational schedule. You will be responsible for
- Surveying and markups for underground development and production headings.
- Creation of survey and drive layouts and drafting.
- Surveying of geotechnical monitoring instrumentation.
- Month-end surveys for underground development and surface stockpiles.
- Periodic surveying on surface.
- Maintenance of survey equipment.
- Flying drones for photography, 3D photogrammetry, and LiDAR scanning.
- Other duties as required.
What You'll Bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
- Surveying or Mine Technician degree or diploma.
- 2+ years in underground mine surveying.
- Experience with total stations and GPS.
- Experience using Vulcan software preferred.
- Experience flying drones preferred.
