Ditidaht Community School is located in Traditional Territory of the Ditidaht First Nation at

Nitinaht Lake:

a semi-remote community accessible by logging roads - approximately one and a half hours by gravel road from Port Alberni and one hour by gravel road from Lake Cowichan on beautiful Vancouver Island.

The community of Nitinaht has a population of approximately 225 with 56 students registered at Ditidaht Community School in grades Kindergarten through 12.

Education is an extremely important aspect of Ditidaht culture.

Ditidaht Community School seeks to respectfully guide each student through their educational journey and helps them develop life goals by providing them with excellence in both academic and cultural education.
