Join our team as a Production Line Assembly Worker, where you will start in our Packaging department before advancing to one of our primary production lines. In the initial three months, you'll be responsible for moving boilers from the production line onto pallets, packaging them, and using a pallet jack to transport the items to the shipping area. After this period, you will transition to a production line where you will install and assemble boiler components using hand and power tools, pick parts from bins, and ensure quality before passing items to the next station. Your role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our production process.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Work Environment

Work environment requires wearing steel toe work boots, pants, and sleeved shirts. The facility can become very hot, reaching up to 35 degrees in the summer, though fans are operational to aid cooling. The environment can also be noisy due to power tools. Regular employees have the option for overtime, which is posted on a bulletin board

If they prove to be qualified for other positions, they could move into other production lines 2-4, warehouse (shipper, receiver, forklift), higher role on the same team (line expert), admin, tech support, be apart of lab engineering if they immigrated with engineering degree

Growth opp examples: position chart with different levels/responsibilities. In Production, there are 4 levels, 1-2 operator, line lead and group lead. People are continuously moving within this model from level 1 to 2, then line lead to group lead. These come with higher pay structures

Line Lead wage in Assembly: depending on seniority/level of service. Year 1 Line Lead: $22, Group Lead: $25/hr.

Monthly events and Christmas parties

First aid level 1 and 2 if they want to be trained up on these

Recognizable experience for the future

Shift:

Monday to Friday

8am-4:30pm (technically it ends at 4:15 with break EOD)

Breaks:

2x15 mins (one break in the morning, the other is EOD so workers can end 15 minutes early)

1x30 mins (unpaid lunch)

*No overtime while on contract to hire. Regular employees can sign up on bulletin board (OT is done before 8am or stay 1-2 hours later. Occasional Saturday)

Wage:

$19/hr
