Flooring Supervisor and Installation Manager - Winnipeg, MB


The Flooring Supervisor and Installation Manager oversees the development and training of the flooring sales staff and their sales growth throughout the M&Y group of companies, as well, oversees the installation for the Winnipeg market.

This position provides superior customer service, knowledgeable advice, coordination of installation services and inventory management.

You will be based out of Winnipeg but have the opportunity to travel to locations such as Kenora, Ontario, Yorkton, Saskatchewan as well as Brandon, Steinbach & Portage in Manitoba.


Your duties will include:

  • Develops strong sales relationships with new and existing contractors and professional builders by creating a sense of partnership
  • Works with Sales Specialist at our retail locations to provide and oversee accurate and timely customer quotes and estimates, including sign offs
  • Works with Vendors and Staff to develop timely and appropriate training sessions; manage our digital training platform for flooring staff
  • Works with Store Manager's to help monitor and manager sales targets on a regular basis
  • Works with our Category Managers and Marketing Manager to develop promotions and executing with Staff
  • Handles customer complaints and concerns as required
  • Work with delivery service teams to understand delivery expectations
  • Supervises scheduling of installations to meet customer requirements
  • Visit job sites as required once installation is started and verify all documentation is complete
  • Create an enjoyable and teamoriented work environment for staff
  • Communicate with each staff member to provide regular feedback on an ongoing informal basis or through scheduled meetings
  • Work with Store Managers to recruit, hire and conduct new employee orientation
  • Show a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Have great organizational and time management skills
  • Will be driven to further grow the business by assisting Sales Specialists to actively seeking out and following up on sales leads
  • The ability to work in a fast paced team environment is essential
  • Displays a desire to expand their knowledge and skill set
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Follows all company administrative requirements and policies
