Job DescriptionJoin us as a Calibration Engineer specializing in On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), a pivotal role in designing innovative strategies for engine propulsion control systems. This role provides you with the chance to:
- Assess system and software designs.
- Develop detailed test plans.
- Oversee vehicle/test-bench/virtual resources.
- Formulate and authenticate compliant calibrations for upcoming propulsion system projects.
By collaborating closely with hardware development, controls and software development, program management, test fleet support, and vehicle and compliance teams, you will:
- Lead the instrumentation of electrical and physical systems.
- Schedule and coordinate chassis dynamometer emissions testing.
- Utilize INCA data acquisition software to ensure expected diagnostic performance.
The engineer will:
- Collect requirements and milestone timelines for on-time development ensuring successful product launches.
- Enjoy the opportunity to travel for system validation/verification purposes periodically throughout the year.
Requirements for this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in OBD, emissions calibration, or controls.
- Proficiency in using INCA, Matlab, and Simulink/Stateflow.
- Familiarity with gasoline, hybrid, or electric propulsion system hardware and functions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with business acumen.
- Self-motivated, proactive with solid leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Essential computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.
