*About the Role**Responsibilities*Working with clients in their homes assisting with activities of day living such as:Toileting and brief changing. Bathing and dressing. Oral care. Mobilization and transfers Feeding (including tube-feeding) and light meal preparation. Therapeutic exercise as proscribed by a Physio Therapist. Light house keeping; such as sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, laundry.

Ensuring the fulfillment of individual goals and needs as instructed in the client's support plans

  • Helping clients with leisure activities.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, welfare, and independence of clients. Assisting and satisfying the social and emotional needs of a client.
  • Documenting daily care in the electronic chart.
  • Communicate and document changes in client status with: the client and/or Power of Attorney, with the nurse supervisor.
  • Adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations set by the province or territory

 Turning *Requirements
  • Certification as a PSW in Ontario.
  • Vulnerable sector screening
Medical Verification: 2 Step Tuberculosis check, up to date vaccinations

  • Current Driver's license with appropriate insurance, and maintained
  • Current basic lifesaving certification or equivalent and maintained
  • Personal vehicle in good working order and maintained.

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 0-25 per week

$25.00 per hour
