The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated water, land and natural resource management and cross-sector legislation, policy, and objective setting for land and marine environments.

Building on integrated land and resource management efforts, the Ministry will seek to build a new vision in collaboration with natural resource ministries and First Nations that will embrace shared decision making on the land base.


Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or higher in Geographic Information Systems, or in a natural resource related discipline (e.g. Geography, Forestry, Mining) plus six (6) months of related experience; OR,
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience with ArcGIS gained in a professional, community, school or volunteer setting.

Related experience must include:

  • Experience delivering spatial analysis projects.
Preference may be given for one (1) or more of the following:

  • Diploma, Degree or higher in Geographic Information Systems, or in a natural resource related discipline (e.g. Geography, Forestry, Mining).
  • Experience working in ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience in automation.
  • Experience building spatial mobile solutions.

About this Position:

There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position can be based in a Natural Resource Sector office.
