Role Overview:
A Cloud RAN Developer is vital in advancing mobile networks by developing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based radio access networks. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies and architectures to enhance 4G and 5G network performance and capabilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop software and systems for cloud-based RAN to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards.
- Cloud Integration: Integrate RAN components with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, utilizing cloud-native technologies.
- Virtualization and Containerization: Use technologies like Kubernetes and Docker to deploy and manage RAN functions in a virtualized or containerized environment.
- Network Optimization: Implement and enhance algorithms and protocols for efficient data processing, resource allocation, and network management in a cloud setting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine RAN solutions.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of cloud RAN components to meet industry standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and validation plans.
Required Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Understanding of wireless communication technologies, specifically LTE 5G and 5G NR.
- Cloud Computing: Proficiency in AWS, Google Cloud, Azure.
- Virtualization: Experience with VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, Docker.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in C++, Python, and GoLang.
- Networking: Knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN.
- Telecommunications Standards: Familiarity with 3GPP, ORAN.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in developing and deploying cloud RAN solutions.
