About the Role:

The Clinical Practice team is a collaborative inter-professional group that works to build capacity in mental health service providers through coaching, mentoring, education, and consultation. The team supports service providers within CASA and rural Alberta.


The Assessment Psychologist will:

- Conduct assessments and interpret tests of advanced and specialized clinical/psychological services.
- Make independent clinical decisions regarding assessments, treatment, and discharge of multi-dimensional patients.
- Triage patients based on their level of need.
- Interpret assessment results and compile comprehensive psychological assessment reports with recommendations.
- Provide consultations with caregivers or clinicians regarding school placement/program implications.
- Attend school conferences to support implementation of recommendations and program planning.
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups or provide presentations.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in psychology with formal training in psychological assessments.
- Current registration with The College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Minimum of two years of clinical practice in child and family mental health or youth addictions.
- Experience in administration, scoring, and interpretation of cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments.
- Previous success with high-needs youth and LGBTQ2S+ individuals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and possession of a driver's license.

- Ability to pass Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification and perform necessary interventions.
