WHAT YOU'LL DO:


As a member of the Decision Support team, this role leads projects and decision support activities in collaboration with finance, operational programs and information partners.

This role will need to have a background designing and developing databases/data warehousing environments, healthcare analytics, familiarity with ETL processes, leveraging multiple data sources, process improvement, and report writing and business intelligence tools.

This position has key responsibilities for operational reporting, and related systems associated with Ministry of Health, Ontario Health Teams etc.

, and internal management reporting and analysis, including business cases, scorecards, dashboards and benchmarking

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
University degree in Finance, Health Administration, or Health Information or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

3-5 years' experience working in Healthcare setting and experience working within a decision support unit.

WHO YOU ARE:
Strong aptitude for analysis, research and interpretation of data and attention to detail required
Exceptional communication, customer service, interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively cross functionally
Demonstrated expertise and experience in performance measurement and reporting, as well as operational and financial processes including benchmarking.

Ability to engage stakeholders, understand business objectives/requirements, develop performance measures and design reports and analytical tools tailored towards stakeholder and organizational needs to establish trends and help draw valid conclusions.

Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.

Exceptional Knowledge of financial/statistical healthcare data sets (OCDM, OHRS, HIT, CCO, Intellihealth), and clinical datasets (HIS/CIS, and CIHI),

Experience with Epic clinical information systems considered an asset.

Exceptional communication, customer service, interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments.

Experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets using tools such as SQL or Python considered an asset

Demonstrated experience in data quality, database management, documentation, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects within required timelines

Solid working knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining using tools such as R, SAS, or SPSS and data visualizations, report writing, and business intelligence tools

Experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets using tools such as SQL or Python considered an asset

General computer knowledge and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) and SharePoint

Demonstrated excellence in ability to manage multiple projects, critical thinking, leadership and teamwork.
