Picker Packer

The Picker/Packer will work independently for most of the day and work as a team to get all orders out.

• Folds & tapes boxes, applies labels, packs products and stacks boxes on pallets or shipping line according to direction
• Manually lifting products first from picking line to packing table and then to shipping line
• Pick orders from racking and shelving units using a cart and bucket system
• Match outgoing product with purchase orders for accuracy and expiry dates
• Participate in inventory counts
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
• Follow current standards and procedures
• Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, safety regulations and cleanliness standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Secondary Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Strong reading comprehension skills (English)
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Basic mathematical skills
• Must have Warehouse experience
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• Attention to detail in all areas of work
• Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Must be able to stay at attention and focused for entire shift working with packing tools (tape gun/machine, scissors and box openers) and equipment (could be dangerous otherwise)

• Required to stand for long periods of time
• Involves repetitive motions (pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, grasping, etc)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Safety shoes required
