About the Opportunity


Welch LLP is currently looking for a Total Rewards Coordinator who has a passion for all things total rewards, who wants to take the reins and drive Welch LLPs total reward strategies.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional frontline service for staff on all total rewards related matters including recognition, length of service awards, and total compensation. Respond to inquiries, offers consultation and education to all levels of employees and partners and provide guidance and interpretation of Total Rewards programs, processes policies and plans.
  • Partner with Director of Human Resources to continuously review vendors' performance and implements changes where beneficial or required.,
  • Lead the proactive management of disability and leave of absence portfolio, working closely with employees, managers, HRBP and benefits case managers, as required, to expedite leave administration, ensure timely adjudication and to facilitate appropriate return to work planning.
  • Lead the planning, organization and direction of activities related to the benefits enrolment process and communication of changes to benefits plan design and costing.
  • Work closely with external service providers and internal partners to continuously review benefits administration processes; identifying operational efficiencies and modifying and/or developing standardized processes that leverage new and existing technology, eliminate duplication, improve data accuracy, and enhance accessibility and selfserve options.
  • Lead the establishment of benefits best practices and measured to monitor and ensure the ongoing effectiveness of benefits programs.
  • Support the development of a strategic benefits plan to enhance and streamline benefits management functionality, efficiency, and impact.
  • Monitor plan usage and provide regular reporting and meaningful insights into claims management, utilization experience, cost management, vendor performance and plan member interactions. Reviews the mix of benefits, assesses their effectiveness.
  • Facilitate internal surveys and/or focus groups to assess employee priorities and make recommendation to adjust benefits offerings based on best practices, competitiveness, cost management, utility of benefits, and desired employee experience.
  • Play a lead role in the plan renewal process, collaborating with the Director of Human Resources, and external consultants to facilitate the renewal of insured plans, ensuring premium rates and coverage remains competitive.
  • Analyze compensation trends in the market, conduct salary surveys and benefit reviews for staff, analyze insurance coverage and pension plans and make recommendations to management on the best course of action.
  • Lead and facilitate compensation initiatives to implement changes or improvements to the compensation program or HR systems and processes to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and business plans.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Human Resources, develop integrated communication strategies to promote benefits programs as a valued component of the Total Rewards offering.
