Mall Security Guard

Toronto, Ontario, Canada VISTA SECURITY & INVESTIGATIONS Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers
  • Control access to the premises by permitting or denying entry
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to potential security threats
  • Respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents or fire alarms, by following emergency response procedures
  • Write detailed incident reports documenting any securityrelated incidents or observations

Skills:

  • Law enforcement knowledge: Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures related to security operations
  • Surveillance skills: Ability to effectively monitor and observe activities within the premises using CCTV cameras or other surveillance equipment
  • Loss prevention: Understanding of loss prevention techniques and strategies to minimize theft or damage to property
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and visitors
  • Attention to detail: Keen observation skills to identify potential security risks or suspicious activities

Note:
Prior experience as a security guard or in a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
