Calgary, Alberta, Canada Alberta Health Services Full time

Your Opportunity:

Overlooking the scenic Glenmore Reservoir in Southwest Calgary is the Rockyview General Hospital (RGH). RGH is a progressive metropolitan hospital with over 600 inpatient beds and this beautiful facility has never lost its community feel. Our team provides excellent patient and family centered care, in a collaborative, innovative, and supportive workplace. As a member of the Allied Health team, the Occupational Therapist I will be adaptable and open to the continuous changes that occur in an acute care setting. The environment can be challenging and fast-paced, so we are looking for a clinician that demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work cohesively in an inter-disciplinary setting. You will be effective in time management and demonstrate professional initiative. As the successful incumbent, you will also be a critical thinker with the ability to work autonomously, as well as demonstrate compassion and empathy. As part of RGH values, we support clinicians to engage in projects they find add value and meaning to the workplace and to their profession. We also accept student clinical placements at our site and our clinicians help develop the next generation of occupational therapists. At RGH, you will be supported to develop your practice in an interdisciplinary and innovative environment, with exposure to a variety of acute and sub-acute areas. The successful incumbent will be expected to provide 2-3 weeks availability for initial orientation and subsequently be able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 weekday/daytime shifts of ongoing availability, as well as the availability to work over peak times such as summer vacation and other holiday periods. Some weekend/evening shifts may be available after full orientation. Please speak to your availability directly in your cover letter or resume.
