About the Opportunity

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, you will play a crucial role in patient care and technical activities within the department. This position focuses on conducting routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring adherence to proper techniques and protocols.

Possibility of travel to other locations.

About You

If you meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
  • Sonography Canada certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Familiarity with technical language for manual review and discussions
  • Previous experience preferable
  • Registration with multiple ultrasound credentials is an advantage
  • Knowledge of additional languages, preferably French, is beneficial

Hours
  • Long assignment part-time role; 60 hours every two weeks
  • Expected duration of approximately 12 months
  • Availability for call back, standby, and varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional nights
Compensation and Incentives

$39.96 per hour

Successful candidates may qualify for our benefits package encompassing health, dental, travel, disability, life insurance, and a pension plan.
