Assists the AVP Securitization in analysing, recommending, structuring and executing the Bank's asset securitization transactions with the objective of minimizing the Bank's funding costs.
This role can be located in Montreal or Toronto
Responsibilities:
o Assists the AVP on the management and execution of existing securitization program such as the NHA Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) program, the CMB program and other securitization programs.
o Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of our securitization programs and minimize operational risk
o Assists in the recommendation and execution of securitization transactions that contribute to the Bank's funding strategy.
o Participate in the development of pricing and risk models related to securitization.
o Participate in monitoring the market environment and the regulatory framework to ensure the Bank comply to all applicable rules and guidelines.
o Assists in the planning, forecasting and analysis of the securitization balance sheet and P&L in conjunction with Finance Group.
Qualifications:
o 1 to 3 years' experience within a financial institution. Experience in a bank treasury, or mortgage originator would be an asset
o Master degree in Finance, Economy, Accounting or equivalent
o CFA, FRM, CPA or other professional designations is an asset
Skills:
o Knowledge of the NHA MBS, CMB and other ABS programs an asset
o Knowledge of securitization processes, familiarity with secured funding structures and legal documentation an asset
o Excellent communication skills - strong oral and written French and English
o Strong Excel and Access skills, including ability to design macros, and use VBA. Knowledge of mortgage Hub (TAO) is an asset.
o Motivated, meticulous, self-driven individual that works well in a team.
