Salary Range:
$22.962 to $23.450 per hour (Start rate: $22.962 per hour in accordance with collective agreement requirements)
Hours: 27 hours per week; Sunday to Friday rotating week

Status:
Permanent Part-Time

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Attend required education and safety training
  • Assist in training new personnel in all required job functions
  • Collecting, packaging and disposing of all garbage
  • Replenish supplies in washrooms
  • Perform cleaning duties sweeping, dusting, disinfecting and washing of assigned areas
  • Porter patients to and from appointments to TUC Dialysis Suite
  • Communicate changes in schedule to Clinic's Administrative Assistant
  • Coordinate transportation, as needed
  • Porter patients to and from other clinic appointments including external appointments
  • Deliver patient records, appointment cards, supplies and equipment to and from the clinics
  • Assist with patient handling as required
  • Assist with preparation of patient transfers to outpatient clinics
  • Secondary clinic duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Partial secondary school up to grade 10 or equivalent
  • Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized community college preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to follow procedures and verbal instruction exactly
  • Must possess the flexibility to adapt to daily changes in workload
  • Ability to handle heavy exertion constant standing and/or walking on a frequent basis
  • Ability to handle heavy physical effort pushing wheelchairs, stretchers and other equipment
  • Ability to operate machinery i.e. floor polisher, wet vac etc.
  • Ability to handle lifting weight range lbs.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
