We are looking for an energetic and motivated Solutions Architect for our Calgary Branch who will utilize strong business and technical consulting skills to develop solutions that solve business challenges while creating desired outcomes. You will play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge solutions and collaborate with Account Managers to support projects and optimize sales opportunities in key accounts. A Day in the Life:
  • Designing and implementing industry-leading technical solutions by understanding client requirements through your savvy consulting skills, both business, and technical.
  • Developing complete customer-focused technology solutions for current and new service offerings.
  • Creating detailed documentation including conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information.
  • Working as a subject matter expert to deliver projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education as required.
  • Meeting with clients to determine needs and identify problem areas.
  • Collaborating with Long View business units and practices to ensure efficient progression of sales opportunities towards successful closure.
What You Bring:
  • 6+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas, one of which must be Microsoft.
  • Advanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, Skype for Business, System Center Suite, and Intune.
  • Strong experience with Video Management Systems and Access Control.
  • Proficiency in Networking (Switch, Fiber, etc.) connectivity and capacity planning.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and Vendor management.
  • Capability to articulate how technical features of solutions result in tangible business benefits.
  • Ability to conduct impactful workshops and facilitate envisioning sessions.
  • Knowledge of the sales process and willingness to adhere to approved Long View processes.
  • Prior involvement in responding to and assisting with RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning to stay relevant in the field.
  • Solution-focused mindset and creative thinking capability.
  • Strong consulting, collaboration, and leadership skills.
