Homestead Co-op is hiring a Pharmacy Manager on a temporary contract basis for the Pharmacy in their Food Store in Carman, MB.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and financials of the Pharmacy Department.
  • Oversee performance management of the Pharmacy team and ensure all ethical pharmaceutical care models are practiced.
  • Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely.
  • Provide patient counselling and education on prescriptions and non-prescription medications, administer injections/immunizations, and review patient profiles to identify drug related problems and monitor medication adherence.
  • Complete adjudication and sale of prescriptions and other purchases using the pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Comply with all Federal and Provincial legal requirements, Pharmacy Standards of Practice, and with Homestead Co-ops policies and procedures.

The Team: You will report to the Food Store Manager and work with the Pharmacy team to demonstrate customer focus and strive for a culture of trust, teamwork, and self-development.

The Community: Carman is a small town in the Pembina Valley region of Southern Manitoba. It's home to about 3,000 residents and is about an hour southwest of Winnipeg. This tightknit and vibrant community was incorporated as a town in 1905. At this time, it served as an agricultural, manufacturing, and commercial service center to the surrounding areas, a role it continues today.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Pharmacy and:

  • Are licensed and registered with College of Pharmacists of Manitoba or are eligible for licensure.
  • Have an Injection Certification or other advanced practice certificates, preferred.
  • Have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Have effective decision-making, strong written and verbal communication, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Are honest, trustworthy, results oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
