Summary
The Rods and Shapes Picker is responsible for picking long length and non-conveyable items.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow standard workflow process.
  • Utilized RF scanner device to pick orders accurately and in required sequence.
  • Follows described picking method as shown on the RF device to fill order in required sequence.
  • When picking, verification of quantity is done to ensure order accuracy.
  • Package product in accordance to shipping policy.
  • Correctly label cartons so that proper order consolidation can be completed.
  • Stage completed cartons in designated staging area.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Support and follow internal health and safety programs and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary school diploma or higher.
  • At least 1 year experience working in a distribution center.
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Manager System (Manhattan) including being proficient with RF scanners and equipment is an asset.
  • Communication skills written, verbal and ability to read and understand internal documents.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and walk long distances.
